The Moon Room is a place to remember that Life is a mystery.
I
felt that it would be good to have a room in the garden with a
table in it for writing. Soon after thinking the thought, I saw
a possibility in a bed between the Omega Room and Heart Room. I
started shaping out 2 crescent moon shapes, leaving a nice circle
in the center for a table.
We had a white round glass table that would fit nicely there and
I could even use an umbrella for some much needed shade in the
summer. The imagine of the white round table with the crescent
moon shaped beds on either side gave birth to the idea of calling
it The Moon Room.
The intention for the room was for going deeper into
myself to find inspiration for writing
about what I have learned from the garden. A Moon Room felt like
a perfect symbol for taking steps within, to find that place of
deep peace and intuitive wisdom. There is a great reservoir there,
but it is there that we meet the The Great Mystery of life and
our ego does not have control. Our fears can keep us from going
inside to receive.
The Receptive Principle is the Feminine Principle and ties perfectly
into the image of a Moon Room. I loved the way the room evolved
over the summer. The crescent moon shaped beds had a hedge of cherry
tomatoes on one side and a hedge of chard and snapdragons on the
other. It became more and more enclosed and started feeling like
The Womb Room! The energy of the room supported my writing, Flower
Essence Consultations, and an intimate 10 grain pancake breakfast
with fresh blueberries, served for my visiting 94 and 91 year old
parents.
