Still no sight of warming weather. It feels like winter here and part of me feels like I have not come out of hibernation. It is getting frustrating for those of us on the island who live in areas where the water drains from the hillsides. The land is wet and saturated. Ususally there are some weeks of good clear and dry weather in February and March which gives gardeners a chance to get started preparing for Spring. Not this year. It is a lesson in patience.

We've had a late frost and people are concerned about the effect on our fruit trees. Temperatures are still just above freezing on most evenings.
